Scenic Stamping

Scenic stamping is the newest way to stamp in my world these days. It all started with Stampscapes stamps and now I have begun to use Stampscapes stamps with other scenic type stamps.  It is amazing the results you can get with this style of stamping.

And once you get the scene all stamped out you start the coloring process which can include all types of media and ways to color your scene. With some scenes, I prefer matte cardstock while on others it just has to be the glossy cardstock. Then you can use a stylus to apply your color, or markers and even pencils can be applied along with gel pens.

Let me just show you what can be accomplished with this style of stamping.

My first card "With Appreciation" was all hand-stamped using various stamps from Stampscapes to create this serene lake view scene. Each and every item was at one time a stand-alone stamp but when added to other stamps that stand-alone stamp becomes part of a scene.

My second card is a humorous quirky one designed to make you smile. Created for us gals that work hard to get the weight off...and hard work it is so why not smile about it. In this card, there are several brands of stamps being used together to create a scene and there is even a touch of gel pens.

The first card was colored using a Colorbox stylus tool, Q-tips and an array of dye-based inks.  The second card has a sponged background using Oxide inks and then stamped and colored with Copic markers.

So can you now see how one can get addicted to scenic stamping? If so give it a try and see what you can create for others to see.

Thanks for stopping by.
