Card Trio

Today was a lovely day...nice cool weather...just lovely I tell you.  I couldn't enjoy it though since I was without my vehicle, however I did get to work from home and not use any casual or vacation time.  Having a flexible supervisor that trusts you is so valuable when you find yourself in certain situations. But once work was finished I was able to relax and give my troubles to my Father...I have a storage box that belongs to God, and inside I store all my troubles knowing that he will take care of them.  Once I put them in the box, I leave it alone and wait for the solution to reveal itself to me.

So here is what I have to share and I have a few things..so are you ready? Ok then.
This card is based on a tutorial I found on Marianne's Papirverden blog.  There were so many steps but it turned out okay.  Click on the image for a better view.

Upper left
: The card completely closed with a belly band

Upper Right: The card laying down and the belly band removed.

Bottom Left: The card standing open, belly band removed

Here the card is lying down and pulled open to reveal my image.

The image is actually adhered to a flap that hides your sentiment and space for a personal message or pocket for a gift card or tea bag.

This is shown in the bottom photo. Click for a larger view of these two photos.

I created this card using burgundy and brown tone papers.  My favorite colors are the earthy tones.  I added flowers and since I didn't have actual lace I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create an illusion of lace around the card. Stamped images are Hero Arts.

Instructions on how to create this card is on my PC somewhere and if I can find it I will add it to my tutorial list.

I want to enter this card in the following challenges: 365 Cards Day 229 - Favorite Things and also Fab N Funky Challenge #142 - Vintage

*********************************************************************
Card Supplies:
Image: Bugaboo
Sentiment: Computer Generated
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Decorative Buttons (spider and web)
DP: DCWV
Colored with Copics

I had gotten this image for a challenge at JDE and then lost it until now.
I want to enter this card in the challenge at Craft Your Passion - Challenge #132 "Which Witch Is Which" and the challenge going on at AUD Sentiments Challenge #65 - "Halloween"

        ***********************************************************************
My last project is not a card but a page layout. I don't do these that often but every now and then I will break down and create a page or I get a photo that I just don't want to hide in a box or container somewhere.

I used Webster's Designer Paper and Bazzil Cardstock.  I had to bring out the Cricut to get the iron fence. I added the butterflies and flowers and used ribbon to try and draw attention to the words that I think totally describe my oldest grand-daughter.

In this photo she was in the backseat of the car appearing to be deep in thought as she stared out the window. Of course I used one of Martha's punch around the page and some pearls that were white before they met my copic markers.

If this qualifies I want to enter it in A Gem of A Challenge #57 - Flowers
***********************************************************************

Well finally, I'm finished with this post and I think I'll clean up my craftroom and call it a good day and a great evening.
