White On White

Today went okay, at least better than previous days (knock on wood).  I got the chance to relax for a bit and just lounge around the house. The weather was a bit windy but cool and rather nice I must say.  I kept thinking it was going to rain but it never did...just a cool breeze offering me a chance to enjoy the coolness and the quietness of the day.  All I could think of were the words "peace be still" and it was such a calmness that came over me.

I was free of worry and just thought to myself, life is life and what happens can neither be controlled, predicted nor planned without a certain amount of uncertainty...so why stress over that which we cannot change...just look toward the heavens and proceed to follow the footsteps of accomplishment and then allow yourself to be still and know that all things will resolve themselves one way or another.

Having said that, here is my card for today.  And guess what this is really going to be a short post...believe it or not. (no this isn't Ripley's)

I'm not sure why but the card is showing up with a tint of blue and there is no blue anywhere on this card.  I've taken the picture 3 times and I keep getting the blue hue.  Trust me it is a pure white on white card.

I used plain white cardstock, Sizzix embossing folders and Spellbinders dies to create this card. The card base is 6 x 6 and I embossed and matted a 5.75 x 5.75 on top of the card base.  Next I used the Circle and the Lacy Circle nestabilities for the sentiment on the card.

The sentiment was created on my computer and then printed onto the Circle.  I used pop-dots to adhere the lacy circle to the card.  I used Spellbinders Lace Doiley Accents to cut the lace border and then added Offray ribbon, Recollections Pearls and a Stick Pin from Wild Orchid.  (thinking perhaps a white rose would add something um..)

For the inside I decided just to use embossing folders.  I used an oval embossing folder on a separate piece of paper to create the space for a personal message.

On the left I followed the dot embossing I used on the front and added the dots directly to the card base. To separate the dots from the base I added a small strip of ribbon.

Sorry for the poorly lit photos but I couldn't figure out why the tint was showing up.
What do you think...can you see what I did?

I hope to enter this card in the following challenges:
