The Drama Continues

This has been a painful month for me so far.  One headache after another, but I will not let it get me down.  If you've been following my blog you know the time I have been having, well believe it or not today my AC unit stopped working just when the temperatures went back up, my dog got sick and had to have an emergency visit which led me to discover that there was something definitely wrong with my car's fuel pump.

What else could possibly happen, well I'll tell you...the hot tub lost yet another jet, and the worst thing of all is I ran out of adhesive!!! A crafter with no adhesive...what next I scream..."inhale, exhale, release"...I will not give up..."inhale, exhale, release"

Just think I whisper to myself, the weekend is finally here and it starts today for me, yeah for "Off Fridays"...."inhale, exhale, release"...Today I am going to relax and craft and eat all kinds of food regardless to the number of calories or points its gonna cost me.  Bring it on I say and leave me to craft away in my studio, just me and the dog..."inhale, exhale, release" aaah the peace, just me and the dog.

Let me first announce the winner of October's Challenge 1- "Scene It"
This challenge is sponsored by Jackson's Digital Expressions therefore the minimum requirement of 10 entries was waived and we are free to award one lucky winner
5 digi images of their choice.
Our luck winner is entry #1 - Carol Gill
(please email Pamela Harris [cmalkah@yahoo.com] to claim your prize)

Now let share with you the fun I've been having in my studio.  By the way the AC guy showed up and there is now nice cool airing flowing in my house.  That calls for a real big Texan style yahooooooo!

This time I created a Steampunk card just in time to enter it in at least two challenges: Digital Tuesday and Lady Anne's

The paper is from my DCWV photo mat paper stack "Tattered Time."  I used a digital print freebie and printed it directly on my cardstock using my printer.  I then inked all the edges with Vintage Photo.

The sentiment is also a digital sentiment that I printed and then cut out to use on my card.  I used Tim Holtz Gears die to cut out and emboss the gears.  I then added metal gears from Tim Holtz's ideaology collection to make the card a bit more masculine.  I'm going to give this card to my x-husband whom is now my best friend.

The inside of my card is quite simple. I dry embossed the left side and the sponged a bit of vintage photo on the raised areas.  I used left over paper to create the ruler border. I also used Tim Holtz "Gears" die to cut borders for the personal writing space and for the left side to bring it all together with the front of the card.
I am planning to enter this card in:

Remember to check back every week to see if you're a winner in Mema's October Challenge Trio.  There more prizes to be won and don't forget to sign in when you visit and leave a comment!

Oh Lesia, what a month!! I do hope your dog is o.k. and that all the other things resolve themselves, particularly the adhesive issue!!
Wonderful card - love the TH stuff for masculine cards.

Am glad that you have the A/C fixed--that's such a drain on your energy when you live in a hot climate with no air! Love your Steampunk card--all the die-cut gears are fab, as are the papers. Love the embossing, the brads and metal gears, too! Thank you for sharing this with us at Lady Anne's! :^)
Hugs, Penny
P.S. Hope next month is kinder to you.
