I had to replace my kitchen appliances because of a fire that was initiated by my oven. No one was hurt but the stove didn't survive and a small amount of damage occurred. Now it is all back to normal and the upside was all new appliances and the downside was not everything was covered by insurance.
None the less I feel blessed because of what it could have been!
Now on to happier things. My card was selected as a spotlight winner over at Crafting By Design so now I get to be a Guest Designer for them. Isn't this exciting!!!
The theme is "Pink and Girly" so here is what I created for them. This card was such fun to do and it forced me to get back in the craft room. Stop by and join in the fun.
On the front of the card I used Wild Orchid Flowers and a couple of stick pins. I also used a bit of Offray ribbon and a "Memories" charm I picked up at Michael's. The Roman Numeral Clock die #CR1234 is from Marianne Designs. Lastly for texture I embossed the top layer with a cluster of dots.
I carried the design and theme over to the inside using the same paper collection from Wild Rose Studio "Antique Library"
Finally, here is a close up of my image. She is a new one from Saturated Canary and her name is Denise. I thought she was simply adorable and would work great with a Paris background (another card I have in mind). I colored her with the following copic markers.
Skin: E00, E11, E21
Hair: E51, E53, E57
Dress, Hat, and Purse: R81, R83, R85
Coat: E70, E71, E74, E77, E79
Boots and Grays: C3, C5, C7
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

So glad you kitchen was not severely damaged - we have had three house fires in a week in our small town, one just up the street from us, and I know how devastating they can be!!
