REMINDER: Mema's Crafts Challenges are now the first Monday of each month, so don't forget to come back next week and join the fun...It's anything goes as long as you use a "Die or Punch" somewhere in your project!

NewsFlash! I was selected as one of Dream Valley's Top 3!!!

YEAH!!!!  Now on to my project for today.

Today I have a really bright and colorful card to share with you. Needless to say that playing on this side of the color wheel doesn't come naturally to me.  I struggle getting the right combination in the right amount when using the lighter colors and I do the same when I use pastels.

Using these colors are definitely outside my comfort zone but I was encouraged (more like pushed) by my family and friends to give it a try.  So I agreed to allow my grand-daughter select the colors for my next card and this is how it turned out.

I'm not that thrilled with it but according to my grand-daughter I did just fine and that's good enough for me, but you can leave me your thoughts...I'd love to read them.

I started out thinking I would make a small A2 card but that quickly changed as I decided that I need to add a bit more flavor and of course I want to try my luck in a few challenges.

I used Designer Paper from My Minds Eye and layered it up to add dimension.  I also used a stamp and die set from Cuttlebug to create the flowers and used pop dots to make it appear to float.

Using a neat technique I learned from YouTube I was able to color the flowers with my copics without damaging the embossing the die created.

The inside is quite simple with a few designer papers adorning it and a blank space for a personal message.  Below is a list of the products I used and the names of a few challenges I'd like to enter.

DP:  My Mind's Eye
CS:  Recollections 100#
Distress Ink
Cuttlebug Vine Die
Copic Markers
Hero Arts Stamp
Recollection Pearls

Challenges I'd like to enter are as follows:

Mod Squad Challenge - Tick Tack Toe (4/6)
Inspiration Destination #27 - Anything Goes (4/6)
Fab 'N' Funky #253 - Lots of Layers (4/5)
Crafty Creations #286 - Anything Goes 'no foolin' (4/12)
Crafting By Design April Challenge - Anything Goes (4/25)
