Recipes and Gift Card Holder

Hello All

Here we go with another month that has five weeks (Fridays & Saturdays) so at Mema's Crafts that simply means more winners and more prizes.  We are giving away 5 prizes this month! Our monthly challenge will soon open for entries where we will select two winners; 15th and 30th. And remember if you enter early you double your chances of winning and you can enter three times; so click the tab above and join us for our "ANYTHING GOES" Challenge!

Then hop over to our bonus challenge where entering your name gives you the chance of being the first winner to win a prize from the Grab Bag.  A second winner will be selected based on a random number selected by our first winner. So there you have two more winners! Then our 5th and final winner will be determined by your vote. Cast your vote for one of the DT projects and that project will win a token of appreciation making August a 5 winners month. Click the tabs above to join in both challenges!

Now to share my projects for the "Anything Goes" challenge using images donated by our sponsors.

To create my first project I followed a really easy tutorial to make a recipe holder that will hold up to 20 recipe cards. If I can find the link I'll share it with you.

After making the recipe holder I decided to create a matching card to give as a set
to a friend that is always asking for my recipes.

My image is "Chef Angelina" from The Paper Nest Dolls. I colored her using Prismacolor pencils and the paper is from the Graphic 45 Typography Collection. Other tools included Stampin Up tab punch, Tim Holtz Buttons, Wild Orchid Flowers and the stamp collection "Cook It" from Hero Arts.

My second image is "Melody" from Make It Crafty.  This image reminded me of someone just happy being alive or either a "flower child" from the hippie days.

I thought she would be great as the holder on a belly ban that keeps a Gatefold Card closed.

Here I have removed the belly band and opened the card to reveal the greeting of the day.

Its a wonderful world so why not go out and live the life you've imagined.  There is nothing stopping you from living your dreams other than yourself.

Lastly you lift the center tab and behind the tab is a pocket that can hold a gift card or if you prefer it will accommodate a few dollars as well.

The designer paper is a mix of Glitz, MME and Bo Bunny and the card-stock is all Recollections.  My image was colored using copics and my sentiments were both

computer generated.  I added a few recollections pearls and may go back later to add a few flowers in the left corner.

Now to figure out what challenges I can enter these cards in.  I hope my creations have somehow inspired you to join in our challenges which are open now!

Thanks for stopping and I'd love to hear what you think.

Be safe, happy and well where ever you are
Hugs ~Lesia~

sneak peek: one item in the grab bag bonus challenge is a We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board...shhhhhh don't tell I spilled the beans!
