Every Saturday A Winner!

Have you heard the news? Next month (March) we're going to give away a prize every Saturday...yahoo...its going to be fun but there is one catch.  The number of entries will be limited so make sure you get yours in before the cut-off (you can enter 3 times).

This week I've been practicing coloring with different markers (Copics, Spectrum Noir and now  Promarkers) to determine the pros and cons of each set.  So far I like them all although I am best with the Copics because I've had them longer.  One thing I have learned is that you have to stay in practice with your coloring or you will forget the simple rules when try to color using any of them.

Oh well I will share a couple of cards I created for my sketch challenge.  For those of you that plan to enter my challenge, I'm sorry but you'll see them again but for those that are just visiting I hope these will inspire you to play with us, so here you go.

My first card uses one of my sponsors image and she is colored using Spectrum Noir.  The pens I used were TN1, TN2, IB1, IB2, IG1, TN4 and TN5.  The photo doesn't show it but the fur around her coat and hood was covered with crystal effects (a Stampin Up product).  The flowers are Prima which I purchased from 7Kids College Fund.  I really liked how this card turned out with the Spectrum Noir.  I decorated the inside to follow the front of this card minus the tab and the flowers.  I think matching the inside to the outside just adds a little bit of flair and now on the back I am creating a little design to add my signature stamp, especially if the card base is dark.

Guess I was into the Spectrum Noir pens because I just kept on using them.  But while making this card I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't write which ones I used so now I will be guessing but most likely I will be close.  Ummm let's see they were: TB1, TB2, TB3, TB4, EB3, EB4, EB5, IG2, IG3, IG4, GB4, GB5, LG1, LG2, LG3, LG4.  I think that's all of them and I did use my black pen here and there to highlight the lines on the mailboxes.  I decorated the inside as well but didn't take a photo, but for the mailboxes the inside is identical minus the twine.

Like I said these are also posted on my challenge site and I hope they have inspired you to join the challenge...4 chances to win and you've got a whole week before the first name is selected.

Guess I should go see who the final February Challenge winner is....I like this part...its exciting to see who the Random Generator will select.  Okie Dokie kiddos...that's it for tonight.  See ya next month!

Thanks for stopping by and come again real soon

Your cards are lovely - I have Spectrum Noir and some Copics - would like all Copics markers as I like them the best but a bit pricey for me. :)
