Autumn Joy!

Hello my fellow crafters.  I am thrilled today, because Autumn has finally arrived and I am so ready for it (all but raking leaves).  I just wish someone would tell Summer that is it okay to leave and go take a nap, and to take the 90 degree temperatures with him.  But I must say there was a cool breeze that kept the temperature very tolerable.

Last night was full of drama as my BFF lost her entire blog site due to technical difficulties.  Well she was a little trooper although frustrations and tempers were running high, she did what anyone else would do....get a cool refreshing drink until the frustrations float away and then decide to do it better whatever it was.  So if you were a follower of "Scrapbookstampinista" she will be back soon, so please go back and visit her new blog once she has it up and running again.

A bit of exciting news is that the "Case It" challenge I entered was a success and I won!!!!  YEAH!!!  YIPEE!!!  I can't wait to get those wonderful stamps I won.  Visit FOSTV and check out there challenges.

I did manage to create a few cards this week and I will share them with you but first let me tell you that next month will be my 1 year challenge blog anniversary and I want to have fun all month long.  We have three sponsors, "Robert's Digital Expressions", "Bugaboo Digital Stamps", and "Saturated Canary".  There will be several challenges going on and I hope you will participate in all three challenges for a chance to win fabulous prizes.  Here's a hint for you.  The themes go a little something like this "Scene It With Nature", "Animals Gone Wild" and "Those Bloomin Flowers".

There you've got a heads up for next month.  Next month I will announce my top follower and winning prize.  So you see there is going to be a lot going on in October, and I hope you will find time to join the fun.

Now on to my creations....

This CAS card I actually created for a challenge if I am not too late. If I am it won't be the first time. When it comes to challenges I always seem to be a day late and a penny short. The challenge over at FOSTV is a bingo challenge and I decided on "Lace, Ribbon and Buttons" as my three bingo items.

I am entering this card in the challenge:
Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge 38 09/17/12
Wish me Luck and then join in.

This card I made for a challenge over at Jackson's Digital Expressions.  I used an "Eureka" image, and selected my color combination with care only to find out that the theme was to create a card supporting Breast Cancer.

Well this one just didn't cut the mustard, nor was it pink in any way (lol) so I just kept it and decided to try my hand at coloring using Promarkers.  Not my best work but I'll keep practicing.  And no I didn't make my Breast Cancer card in time to enter the challenge, but the card is cute.

I tried to take the theme from the front of the card over to the inside, and now I think I like the inside better than the front.  Ummm....how did that happen.

A young lady by the name of Hannah inspired the creation of this card.  I was introduced to these images called Magnolias and they are centered around the activities of two kids, "Tilda" and "Edwin".

These children are real and live in Norway (I think) and either their mother or grandmother captures their activities as a sketch and then transfers the design to a stamp.

The inside of the card holds a birthday verse that was computer generated because a co-worker needed a birthday card for her sister and I thought this particular card was perfect.

My BFF absolutely adored these darling images and probably has them all by now. She bugged me until finally I broke down and bought a couple of each kid. I now have accummulated over 150 of these images to include the accessories. Yes they have all the accessories such as as cars, kites, pets, bikes, trees, lakes, steps, skates and whatever else you can think of.

I have since then gotten over my "maggie" addiction and moved on to bigger and better addictions.  I'll share some of my many addictions in a later post because this one has gotten to long.  Well my friends I am now ready to start another project so I must say goodnite, but I will be back at the end of the week to announce our final winner for this month's challenge and to remind you of the activities going on next month.  Wow!  I am so excited.

As always thanks for stopping by and remember
"find beauty in all things and then go create your own"
