Case It Challenge

I am creating this card for a rather unique kind of challenge.  This challenge is a "CASE" challenge.  Yep! You read it right.  The challenge is find a card we like and try to re-create it to the best of our ability.  You can make changes such as paper, stamp and etc. but the goal is to mimic what you see so I decided to enter this challenge.  There are several artist out there that design cards that make me say "how'd she do that" and there are some that I get so frutrated trying to figure it out I will simply send an email and beg for guidance or instructions...don't believe me just ask Marianne from Norway heh heh..well moving right along.

The card I chose to case was created and designed by Lisa Somerville and her blog name is "Splendiferous Creations" which you can visit by clicking here.  She also has a gallery on SplitCoast Stampers if you want to see more.  First I will show you my card and then the original card.

First let me introduce my cased creation. Here are the items I used to create it.

DP: Prima Printerey
Stamp: Hero Arts

Pearls/bling: Recollections

Flowers: Wild Orchid

Sentiment: Computer Generated

Of course all my scraps are used to decorate the inside and this one was no different, although it wasn't part of the challenge...how could it be, right?

Anyway I used a collage of scraps and came up with this.  I almost forgot to add a space for a personal message but I remembered and added it to the left side instead of the right.

Now, here is the actual card as designed by the creator.  Go ahead and compare my creation to Lisa's design.

There are suttle differences but of course we can't be perfect regardless to how hard we may try.

For her card she used the following items:

Pearls: Zva's elegant Ice and Fire Jet Crystals

Flowers: Mini Ginger and Cream Roses

DP: Prima paper as well.
