September's Challenge Winners

Hello everyone, we're off to a grand start and I say YAHOO to everyone of you that decided to play with us.  There was a grand total of 5 winners last month and even our M&M Girls had a chance to play along.

But for September, we start with our first winner.  Without to much more chatting I'll keep moving along in the right direction. I do believe we have our first winner (September 15th) and that is by random selection Entry #22:

Congrats go out to  Elizabeth H. of Warm-Hearted who entered this lovely creation!

Please contact Mema's Crafts to claim your prize before 9/20
Don't forget to grab the winners badge for your blog

Your entries were all winners to us, but unfortunately we can only have one winner.  We use random generator for this otherwise difficult decision and our final September challenge winner is:

Entry #20

Congrats to Nannie Connie and thanks
for sharing this lovely card

Please contact Mema's Crafts to claim your prize before 10/08

Thanks to everyone who participated in our challenge. We hope you will play with us again next month when we play Tic-Tac-Toe!

June 2014 Challenge - Only Men Allowed

Can you believe we are now entering the midway point of the year.  Seems like I was just celebrating a birthday and now its already time to plan vacations and trips to the beach! Perhaps the world is spinning faster..or not..but time sure seems to have picked up the pace.

At any rate here at Mema's Crafts, a new month means a new challenge and more prizes to be won.  Also happening this month is a bittersweet farewell to Gabbi, who has graduated from early college and is now off to complete her BA and BS with N.C. State University. At 17 years old she will be entering NC State as a Sophmore.  We also say farewell to Joyce, who is taking time from being on design teams to concentrate more on her stacking projects she has laying around.  Good luck to them both.

Now to get this party started let me introduce
our wonderful sponsors for June's Challenge.

Bugaboo Stamps, one of our frequent and lovely sponsors is once again supporting Mema's Crafts with their generous offering of 7 digi images of choice to one lucky winner of Mema's Crafts June Challenge.

HELP ME WELCOME OUR NEWEST SPONSOR
THE STAMPING CHEF
offering winners of Mema's Crafts 3 digi images of choice

The Stamping Chef was born in November 2012, Here’s a little bit about Tamara, the artist/creator of all the wonderful images you will find in The Stamping Chef store. Drawing is my passion, and my style is fun, cute and doodlish ~I think =D. I love to see images come to life when they're colored by amazing crafters. Creating digital images can be a tedious process, but I love each and every step of it.
The Stamping Chef offers a anything goes weekly challenge on Wednesday on our Blog, and many weekly and monthly challenges on our The Stamping Chef forum http://thestampingchef.com/Forum/ to play along with for some TSC images to win!

Quick Post

Don't Forget: Sign In To Be Counted For The Top Follower Prize

NOTE:  Changes were made to this post to protect the innocent and those with vivid imaginations!

Today has been a day of hope and daydreams.  The Power Ball lottery is up to 320 million so talk about daydreams...wooowewewe.  What would I do...well with only one ticket the odds don't look that good but what the heck you can't win if you don't play so I think its okay to pay $2 on a dream.

This post will be shorter than normal because I am rather tired.  After working all day, I had to come home and convince my daughter-in-law to take the braids out of my hair when she left work at 9:00 pm, and that took about an hour.  Then into the shower I went to finish up with some hot water running through my hair, and that killed about 30 minutes.  Now I am sitting here in front of my computer wearing a nightie from the 1930s that has been cut to resemble a shirt (someone got happy with the scissors, so there's not much marterial left in my opinion) with the ugliest birds flying on it....where in the Sam Hill did I get this thing, and the bigger question is why did I keep it.  Who put this thing on me? (God I hope my webcam isn't on).  Did I mention that I am also talking to my BFF (Joyce on the phone) with a towel wrapped around my wet noggin as the water drips down my neck and face and I continue to stare at this screen.

Guess I should go and at least blow dry this mess before I get to tired, after all I am expected to go to work tomorrow.  Wonder what outfit I'm going to wear...I mean it has to match this hairstyle I'm fixin to whip up (surprise surprise).

In between everything that I did today I was still able to pull the winner for my mid-month challenge entry draw, so without holding you guys in suspense any further allow me to send a great big

CONGRATULATIONS TO

LISA S.  FOR HER ENTRY #8

YOU ARE THE WINNER OF A SATURATED CANARY DIGI IMAGE OF YOUR CHOICE

(please contact Mema usingthe "email me button" in the right sidebar or just email Lesia at lesia1707@att.net)

Remember you have until August 18th to claim your prize

Now that we've taken care of announcing our winner, I'd like to remind you that we will have another drawing on August 30th so hang around for a while.  Additionally, we might have a grab bag winner should I get 7 more followers so tell your friends to check out my blog and if they like it then join our team.

I never like to blog without sharing something so I am going to post a few scrapbook pages that I did a few months back.  I hope you enjoy them.

They look like sisters but they are actually cousins.  Go Figure.

This is my one of my girls (grans)
This photo is a glamour shot I had taken to celebrate reaching the big 50.
My grand-daughter and name sake.  She is very versatile in her extracurricular activities.

Well my lovelies, it is now past 10 pm and that is not a good thing for me.  I should be snoring, slobbering, moaning, groaning or yelling at the dog to scoot over or something.  In other words I should be in the bed and close to meeting Mr. Sandman, so I am going to wish you all a good-night and and best wishes for a better tomorrow where ever you are.

Remember to find beauty in all things and then...take time to create your own.

June Challenge - Just Words

This post will remain at the top of my blog until the challenge closes!

Hello my lovely followers! I hope everyone had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend and have survived this week so far.
I managed to visit all the participants in May’s Bingo challenge and the talent is unbelievable. I tried to leave comments but if you have "word verification" turned on I may not have made it through the verification.  My grand-daughters even had a few comments about the talent.
With my girls encouragement I have agreed that for June's challenge we will have possibly three winners, but lets find out who is our BINGO winner.
(drumroll please)
Random.org was used to randomly draw the winner and the winner is .....
Entry #19
 CONGRATULATIONS MOSHIE
You have won an e-certificate from Saturated Canary.
Please contact me at Lesia.cook@gmail.com to claim your prize
(prizes must be claimed within 7 days of this post or winner will forfeit all prizes; claim your prize by 06/08/2012)

Now it’s time to jump forward to our challenge for June!  This challenge is “Say It With Words”....that’s right NO IMAGES ALLOWED. Make the words (sentiment, verse, greeting) your focal point.

Here are the rules:
     1.       Follow the standard rules located in the left sidebar
2.       No image of any type (does not include stamped/digital words,
          sentiments, verses, etc.)
3.       You can enter up to 3 new projects
4.       Link to your post and within your post link back to this challenge
5.       Be one of my lovely followers or become a follower
Remember this month we will have two winners (random and voted) and maybe another winner if I reach 50 entries or more.

First Place: e-card from Mo Manning; Saturated Canary; or Kenny K (winner chooses) (random draw)
Second Place: e-card from Kenny K (voted by my girls)
Third Place: e-card from Make It Crafty (a minimum of 50 entries) (random draw)

You have a chance to win all three prizes, there is no limit.  Here is a card I created without an image to give you hopefully a bit of inspiration.
The paper is Bazzill and Graphic 45. The sentiment is from Lost Coastal Designs and a bit of ribbon.  The verse says "always do right, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest."

On the inside I used the same papers and kept it very simple.  I think I will add something to the left panel, just not sure what at the moment.  Always room to improve, and maybe on the message panel add some corners to map the whiteness less white (smile).
Well there you have it, so go out and find those words you have in your stash somewhere.  Look around your home, in magazines and everywhere.  It is possible "to find beauty in all things and then go create your own."  I can't wait to see what you create.
Thanks for stopping by and remember your comments are welcomed and appreciated!
