Birthdays Are Forever

As each day comes and goes there are birthdays being celebrated around the world regardless of the circumstances of the day.  There is always someone to wish a Happy Birthday and what better way than with a hand-made one-of-a-kind card.  You seem to always look forward to your birthday...its special because it belongs to you.

As a kid its the thought of a cake and presents or hanging out with friends and having fun together.  As we get older we look forward to birthdays because our lives move from one level to the next, leaving childhood to preteen and then into the teens when certain birthdays become more important than others, such as that birthday that allows you to get a drivers license or that birthday when your parents allow you that one beer in front of them.  These milestones continue through life all the way to the ones that allows you special discounts, or the one that you thank God for living long enough to see.

All I am saying is, birthdays are special so for this post I thought I would share a few birthday cards I made.  I don't post much anymore but I am trying to get better although life is pulling me in so many different directions.  I hope you enjoy these cards and perhaps they will inspire you or bring a smile to your face. So lets get on with the sharing.

This card uses only paper, twine, a rubber stamp and a simple pearl embellishment. In the back is an envelope with a matching flap. Card size is 5.25 x 5.25. The inside is decorated using the same pattern paper.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Sisterhood of Crafters - Birthday or Fancy Fold (05/10) (109)
The Paper Shelter - #426 Happy Birthday (05/12) (20)

The material used on this card is the same as above and the paper is from DCWV Botantical paper collection. I added a few flowers and pearls from Recollections and created a coordinating envelope. This card size is the standard A2.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Creations - #409 Anything Goes (05/31) (40)
Cute Card Thursday - #633 Anything Goes (05/12) (19)

The last birthday card I'd like to share uses a die to create the front cover and a Hero Arts stamp.  A piece of ribbon is running centered and vertically behind the detailed front just to add more to the visual. A corner die was used to coordinate the envelope. This is a standard A2 card size.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

C.R.A.F.T. Challenges - #555 Blog Hop Birthday (05/20) (10)
Cardz 4 Galz - #121 Birthday  (05/20) (8)

Well fellow crafters that's all I have for this post.  I hope everyone is keeping themselves and their families safe during this pandemic. We will get through it...but we must practice common sense and patience. In the meantime spend time with family and when you tire of that then find something to craft.

Until next time......
