TRANSFORMATION DONE!<p> Hello Everyone! Wow it has been almost 8 months since my last post so this one is definitely needed. I'm excited and pleased to share with you my new place of retreat and relaxation. I won't bore you with to many details but I'd like to share photos of why I am so excited, so here you go. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSw-PdUlCf57iPATP88X1AHeical8_zm1nbYmQMCkO7jZqV9KGNbPrZppaB60pIYmIGA5sGcodX7fosq94AD0xXux1al6BpRWkWqbWZnq0OYiudzU_iJszSZQGn9ms9sCf4TF3dhz-EHD0M5F5LcEHVdoddT8cBJc8c6Mi_lsHxWQ3OcoTALsj4CyOYQ/s2992/Craftroom%20Stamp%20Storage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2992" data-original-width="2992" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSw-PdUlCf57iPATP88X1AHeical8_zm1nbYmQMCkO7jZqV9KGNbPrZppaB60pIYmIGA5sGcodX7fosq94AD0xXux1al6BpRWkWqbWZnq0OYiudzU_iJszSZQGn9ms9sCf4TF3dhz-EHD0M5F5LcEHVdoddT8cBJc8c6Mi_lsHxWQ3OcoTALsj4CyOYQ/s320/Craftroom%20Stamp%20Storage.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>This is the view from the hallway into my newly designed craft room. It measures 18 x 20.<div><br /></div><div>In the center I have my craft table that is approximately 6.5' x 4.5' It seats four ( 2 per side) and has shelving on each end. On one side I currently have wooden stamps and a few punches but this is only temporary.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0YFRU6PHs9ufa2v88Bi3ey9ghva1ghTotDVhaZGokdTwgv5srz9oBzYg8KSUOt9VoR4nmUxHHMaAGPweQAYvO4g3dbAsvavy0zNR_5QEd_fHxCOUVhiVGOEprrs44Bp_zPGtjmVaDV96YFb4ln41919M-bJCpopb74red38tT_9USNvFH7RyqFIUXyg/s2992/dreambox%20angle2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2992" data-original-width="2992" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0YFRU6PHs9ufa2v88Bi3ey9ghva1ghTotDVhaZGokdTwgv5srz9oBzYg8KSUOt9VoR4nmUxHHMaAGPweQAYvO4g3dbAsvavy0zNR_5QEd_fHxCOUVhiVGOEprrs44Bp_zPGtjmVaDV96YFb4ln41919M-bJCpopb74red38tT_9USNvFH7RyqFIUXyg/s320/dreambox%20angle2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>From this angle you can see the opposite end of my craft table where I store most of my spooled ribbon. You can also see the seating area although my chairs had not arrived when this photo was taken so I am using stools from the Butler's Pantry (with DIL permission). Each side also has four drawers for the most used items. This works well when I have a class or have friends over to craft with me.</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwvKPvZnsf2TDn0SvifBpmllR41HFY9FAGpcPF_FXu8CYp7wDLrYr3zcYU-yObcAnl_byYRQTDKEDflpKJVQcnmA2o9LYNEzWn7-Z3DoMFFWqK6xnuRLqB45rMtxmgLNg11GY_pxwcnXDBwVnNTIq35hnjhQ_8A7NM9qwAmwqBwCot3vFU_lgbhe2oAA/s2494/Craftroom%20Clear%20Stamp%20Storage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2191" data-original-width="2494" height="281" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwvKPvZnsf2TDn0SvifBpmllR41HFY9FAGpcPF_FXu8CYp7wDLrYr3zcYU-yObcAnl_byYRQTDKEDflpKJVQcnmA2o9LYNEzWn7-Z3DoMFFWqK6xnuRLqB45rMtxmgLNg11GY_pxwcnXDBwVnNTIq35hnjhQ_8A7NM9qwAmwqBwCot3vFU_lgbhe2oAA/s320/Craftroom%20Clear%20Stamp%20Storage.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I tried to organize my space into different zones or areas. In some cases it worked well and in others not so much.<div><br /></div><div>This photo is of my storage for dies, clear stamps and embossing folders. On the top I keep my dies in the frig bins separated by category and company. Ninety percent of my dies are from one company so that was easy. If a die has a stamp I stored it with the stamps.</div><div><br /></div><div>The stamps are in the drawers and they are stored by company by category. At the moment I am not sure if I will eventually change it to just category but for now my brain thinks of the company and then of the stamp. One drawer is dedicated to StampinUp, another drawer is all about Stampendous and Tim Holtz. There is a drawer for my storage supplies and then my embossing folders have a drawer.</div><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiA3m-YUbnNnCfsV-Dax1TbSNE70iWsX7WciOQgfcJLljV0811ip6CBZs0J9F7Wk8_mTJO3HbMKm-UkbvXzQXtzVudXIZz8BqkCDmONCFNC8t2mnOyarMJmGxywpG5k4qoOnx2rbPYyBdh-PH6j-P6iJn6M74wuyaliuovptEmL-Do4GOA1oED5JS4XQ/s2992/Craftroom%20Print%20Press.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2992" data-original-width="2992" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiA3m-YUbnNnCfsV-Dax1TbSNE70iWsX7WciOQgfcJLljV0811ip6CBZs0J9F7Wk8_mTJO3HbMKm-UkbvXzQXtzVudXIZz8BqkCDmONCFNC8t2mnOyarMJmGxywpG5k4qoOnx2rbPYyBdh-PH6j-P6iJn6M74wuyaliuovptEmL-Do4GOA1oED5JS4XQ/s320/Craftroom%20Print%20Press.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I dedicated the wall with the window as my cut, print and press area. I keep my printers there and everything else within close proximity.</div><div><br /></div><div>Of course the doors and drawers I use for supplies, extra machines and stuff I need but seldom use (ya'll know what I mean)</div><div><br /></div><div>On the wall I have my sprays and other little things that I had no where else to store.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNx1vyV0a_An52nt10DC1mWLFs6g4NzzIJAAQhOxAMQyLiwVdGfDLy3TRqLywcJ6zbe6T1KwR5AIeQy5TDnWTI6iK_qWeXXCe1PyrJxFYZp4EhHk68RjWCVvvw_92Jze5nl4DNGHmwh0hbSrpZwl8JFUHSSLxCgPn2r5s5gW3QXZR9Bji-8WunD9BmvQ/s2992/Craftroom%20Sink.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2992" data-original-width="2992" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNx1vyV0a_An52nt10DC1mWLFs6g4NzzIJAAQhOxAMQyLiwVdGfDLy3TRqLywcJ6zbe6T1KwR5AIeQy5TDnWTI6iK_qWeXXCe1PyrJxFYZp4EhHk68RjWCVvvw_92Jze5nl4DNGHmwh0hbSrpZwl8JFUHSSLxCgPn2r5s5gW3QXZR9Bji-8WunD9BmvQ/s320/Craftroom%20Sink.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div>I was real excited to have a sink included this time so it made sense to make this area my mixed media storage as well as stuff that we tend to purchase for a project and then never use again for months.</div><div><br /></div><div>It also gave me ways to store my many brushes and since there is a coffee bar in my new space I keep my cleaning supplies in this area as well. Oh BTW that is indeed an ice maker sitting there. I have a dorm fridge but it doesn't make ice.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMwu-NOeIcPbnolIXCq8O31Bz2u2pb6gvorbjE3RY4ztUrLtUF4MAyjqguKT8GOTMow_xX1G6tgOlKO_yfUIb1aLErKUhiWH_WZ2NTD-li8I8slgyrHVi1Ya7Wf3HBQUiSebsCtGqB9CN1XatH7qIgObBliBaEn0LaZULUEpJyJOUSr53iuSTfKXEJdw/s2992/Craftroom%20AlexDrawers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2992" data-original-width="2992" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMwu-NOeIcPbnolIXCq8O31Bz2u2pb6gvorbjE3RY4ztUrLtUF4MAyjqguKT8GOTMow_xX1G6tgOlKO_yfUIb1aLErKUhiWH_WZ2NTD-li8I8slgyrHVi1Ya7Wf3HBQUiSebsCtGqB9CN1XatH7qIgObBliBaEn0LaZULUEpJyJOUSr53iuSTfKXEJdw/s320/Craftroom%20AlexDrawers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div><br /></div>This area is mostly for items required when working with vinyl or sublimation.</div><div><br /></div><div>I keep cutting mats, heat press mats and vinyl that come in boxes in these drawers. Major events occurred while normal life continued and it was just hard. I sold my home of 23 years and moved in with my son and his wife. This was a medical choice and not one of my own and yet I was determined to be happy and look at it with optimistic views. It has been difficult giving up so much... I felt like there had been a death in my life and the grieving was real (still not sure if I'm over it).</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Anyway on the plus side of things I get to see and interact with my grandkids as they grow into young adults. Additionally, I no longer have to maintain a home at my age with my less than good health. As I always say "when life shows you the negative side of the coin, flip it to the other side".</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So now that I've flipped the coin I have an opportunity to create a new craft space that I can decorate and configure to my liking. Long time no post I know. Life has been full of changes, adjustments and finding time to get back into the swing of things. My mojo disappeared for a while and then it came back but only for a moment. I am hoping that with this post I will be headed back in the right direction with my crafting. I am still trying to sort and organize since my move but there is only so much I can do.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">But now moving forward with my post. I have tried to get back to coloring and creating things to share with everyone. Today I have a cute Halloween card using a digi image from Mo Manning and coloring using my copics. It has been a while so please be gentle with me.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqnf2R7b8KMeSa5Bffv725hsaUH6xZxFLWmsyZx4xXjg7gYko6WwtPMEJYtefEExZ-V-M86aiv7vMphInza2FdnGgFNR5MqvoASiAPd-AqctW5w1m7_bzWebAj_ACVRP6Be8ZyD078Sw3m/s2268/BatCat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2010" data-original-width="2268" height="284" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqnf2R7b8KMeSa5Bffv725hsaUH6xZxFLWmsyZx4xXjg7gYko6WwtPMEJYtefEExZ-V-M86aiv7vMphInza2FdnGgFNR5MqvoASiAPd-AqctW5w1m7_bzWebAj_ACVRP6Be8ZyD078Sw3m/s320/BatCat.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The image used is from Mo Manning Digital Pencil "Bat Cat" and it was colored with the following Copic Markers:</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">AG3, V22, V25, V19</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Y21, Y19, Y17, YR07, YR09</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">C0, C1, C3, C5</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The patterned paper is from Graphic 45 "An Erie Tale" and the cardstock is from my paper stash.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Although it seems like ages since I participated in a challenge, I would like to enter the following challenges:</span></p><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="http://dreamvalleychallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Dream Valley Challenge #255</a> - 2 or more Patterned Paper</span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://craftinghappinesschallenges.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Crafting Happiness Challenge #114</a> - Anything Goes</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://hereisaplacetostart.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">A Place to Start Challenge #9</a> - Pattern Paper Please</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Well guys this is all for this post. Your loyalty will be rewarded once things have settled to somewhat of a normal environment for me. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">The biggest change for me is preparing for a move! I am leaving behind what was my home for 19.9 years and in doing so I am required to truly downsize because I am going to be living with my son and daughter until my 1 bedroom cottage is built on their property. I will have full access to the common areas of course and I am connected to the main house via a hallway. This is good because I can retreat to my enormous craft room (18' x 20' is enormous to me) and have total peace and quiet. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">They are also including a bathroom with a jetted shower and space for a wheelchair. I can hardly wait to be pampered... this helps me get through the sacrifice of letting go of so many things I held dear, but I can't keep it all so I have to pick and choose.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">Here are a few photos of what will soon be my new home</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq_1WxJIlpcFskxlh9c8-4E8An4QccZxVEOHeyQA5Bv59d1-9VvegCKd4Zl6eshuf_IJ4tYEoWM06Qa6aNrPBR1T4lfrpjS3Xo-cctQYXDhs3fyQxGNbHygfPKpfFnyhqhUOe1nqtLYRlB/s800/homeFront.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;"><img border="0" data-original-height="548" data-original-width="800" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq_1WxJIlpcFskxlh9c8-4E8An4QccZxVEOHeyQA5Bv59d1-9VvegCKd4Zl6eshuf_IJ4tYEoWM06Qa6aNrPBR1T4lfrpjS3Xo-cctQYXDhs3fyQxGNbHygfPKpfFnyhqhUOe1nqtLYRlB/s320/homeFront.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">I am in love with the landscaping and my DIL is great with keeping things neat and colorful. There are a few more trees closer further from the house that is surrounded with beautiful blooms.<br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTp1y8yXcAUQGcGo_4kb0ozJBWtnW0S4gtfBN0nCBQ0o5qHVJzG3xgCR2oW0Q9JnUvlcxllCHfXBD5N34iGHgAheoN5NrCLmDh9cVlP5H9Q3xfDoavr_q9hjgcJmQmFIYnrK2a8sfEhRJl/s800/HomeKitchen2.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;"><img border="0" data-original-height="504" data-original-width="800" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTp1y8yXcAUQGcGo_4kb0ozJBWtnW0S4gtfBN0nCBQ0o5qHVJzG3xgCR2oW0Q9JnUvlcxllCHfXBD5N34iGHgAheoN5NrCLmDh9cVlP5H9Q3xfDoavr_q9hjgcJmQmFIYnrK2a8sfEhRJl/s320/HomeKitchen2.PNG" width="320" /></span></a></div><div><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">I do believe this kitchen was designed for a true chef (which I am not) but I can see myself pretending and finding new recipes to try while at home during the day with just me and the fur babies.<br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWylYrRifz78MRqlQ4w39Gxtzf3EQKgtdiYFiThI-RTtdm5HOd2I7zFBPw-3fVtq4IDRv2TCwyAeNlySxDV2ax8Zf-rAmB-Rq-YN0lZHkq7vm6nMQHDwrQDrXe4asRcKEqBdp_dOV3mIvB/s800/HomeLiving.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;"><img border="0" data-original-height="503" data-original-width="800" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWylYrRifz78MRqlQ4w39Gxtzf3EQKgtdiYFiThI-RTtdm5HOd2I7zFBPw-3fVtq4IDRv2TCwyAeNlySxDV2ax8Zf-rAmB-Rq-YN0lZHkq7vm6nMQHDwrQDrXe4asRcKEqBdp_dOV3mIvB/s320/HomeLiving.PNG" width="320" /></span></a></div><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">Perfect place for family movie night or just to relax and enjoy the grandkids. The best part is knowing that when I tire of the events or prefer to watch a different show I can go to my side of the house and relax in my own little sitting area and watch my shows or sit on the patio and do the same before ending the day.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">My cottage is going to take six months so until then it will be difficult for me to craft although my son has given up his office space so that I will have a temporary place for crafting and I am utilizing their guest bedroom as both my bed/sitting area.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">A good thing about this bittersweet moment is I will have the chance to create memories with my grandkids and will be closer to the rest of the family and for those not in TX I will have the freedom to visit whenever I choose.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">So that's it for this post. Hopefully my next post will be geared toward crafting and my newest toys and what I hope to do with them. I might even try the challenge scene again.. I just have to see exactly how much time I will have on my hands.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">Before I leave I would like to ask you to visit my website <a href="https://memascrafts.com" target="_blank">"Mema's Crafts"</a> and subscribe even if you don't purchase anything. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">As always thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!</span></b></p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;">~Lesia</span></b></p>Mema's Craftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09447673390276190282noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613697682771842732.post-11287739339444956052021-03-28T12:59:00.007-05:002021-03-28T12:59:53.241-05:00Writing Pretty<p><span style="font-size: medium;"> Its 2021 and Spring has arrived! After the year we've had its good to see something beautiful and full of hope such as the budding of the trees and flowers. I think back to before cell phones and text messages when we would write notes to those we cared for or notes to remind us of events and such. I created what I call my "Writing Pretty" series where I take the everyday paper pad and give it a makeover so that we might want to write again or just make a list of things.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">From the list pad that hangs on your refrigerator to the memo pad we carry in our purse, we can make it a statement to those that get a chance to see it. The series is a forever growing series that goes into the office meeting or just to spruce up your work area whether its at a building or in your home. I will start with the simplest of ways to make writing pretty even if our penmanship isn't the best, it won't be noticed but the holder of the pad will be.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaOriXBjBqbzPVuAiJ9InOJtJQD427lRBcT2_Tlk_ynwgmypPO0XackZuKw0Xc3_u8c6tfSIW2464WvJ0RBBXUDkSNGUyCr6QHKjpA9zewRaIsy-R2PjZcZ9pUIbWeGifVsH78Gz3kYcqC/s3024/20210324_144041.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2242" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaOriXBjBqbzPVuAiJ9InOJtJQD427lRBcT2_Tlk_ynwgmypPO0XackZuKw0Xc3_u8c6tfSIW2464WvJ0RBBXUDkSNGUyCr6QHKjpA9zewRaIsy-R2PjZcZ9pUIbWeGifVsH78Gz3kYcqC/s320/20210324_144041.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div><span style="font-size: medium;"><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>This boutique style book holds one 3x8 memo pad perfect for capturing those notes while on the phone or jotting down thoughts as they happen.</span><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">The refrigerator pad is not only "stinkin' cute" it is refillable as well. I am so proud of this new series of mine and just wanted to share with my crafting family although it isn't a card :)</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Now on to the supplies I used. I used medium weight chipboard along with designer cardstock from Prima (love their paper) to create each item. I then added simple embellishments to add a little pop to each piece. Not shown in this photo are the metal pieces I added to the belly band and top of the list pad to tie it in with the pieces I have on the memo booklet.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">It didn't take very long to make and very little supplies was used in the process. If you'd like to see more of this type of crafting please let know and if you see something you like you can always purchase by visiting my online store.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Thanks for stopping by</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Remember to Stay Healthy, Be Safe and Craft Happy</b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sending Hugs from Texas</span></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Lesia</span></div><p><br /></p></div>Mema's Craftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09447673390276190282noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613697682771842732.post-49834715365145458482020-12-10T15:00:00.000-06:002020-12-10T15:00:07.577-06:00Relax Relate Release<p> <span style="font-size: medium;">As Winter approaches my mind drifts to how nice a warm bath or soak would feel especially with a bit of jazz gently playing. What could be better than that with a glass of wine or your preference... well why not fill your sense of smell with the aroma of lavender or honeysuckle.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">These little jars are filled with a delicious fragrance that you will not forget, a fragrance that allows you to simply "Relax, Relate and Release" all your troubles of the day. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Allowing yourself only one hour a day to forget and relax is made easier when all your senses are engaged...music for the ears, wine for tasting, warmth for touch, soft glow of candles for sight and at last a hint in the air of lavender or honeysuckle to delight your sense of smell.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I want to share with you a DIY project that I think are just delightful. These small cuties are perfect for a Secret Santa gift, party favor or you could change the paper and greeting to make it a gift perfect for any reason or season. I think this DIY project turned out pretty good. This post comes with hopes of a better tomorrow and faith in people especially the American people to come through and pull together as has been done so many times in the past. COVID is testing every country and it does not discriminate in any way. Stay safe my friends amid the storm and your faith and strength will rein.</span></p><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">Tissues are becoming the number one thing to have in your car and in your home. I've been trying to make the boring tissue box come alive with elegance and charm. Here is one where I used paper ordered from Italy to ensure it was rice paper and to make sure that it would make this product a unique one-of-a-kind item.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: medium;">I hope you find it elegant and like it as much as I do. You could purchase the tissue box cover already made in paper Mache or wood from any craft store or you could use chipboard and make the box yourself just to make it totally handcrafted. Either way I think it is truly a work of art and a sign of patience.</span></div><div><br /></div><div> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8RdDBiQibYpwZl02ejsorpBYW8GohAzXO7yQAb6D-kJzbt9z0SkcLbGN6FQhmD6SblG0ID9oGQmPkGJ22KLs-nvBxTFQ-0hs2TWBVqU3gmBD4Qmw1h4nCme60r3xaYgv27dTjdrd3f4-w/s450/FleurDeLeiTopView.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="415" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8RdDBiQibYpwZl02ejsorpBYW8GohAzXO7yQAb6D-kJzbt9z0SkcLbGN6FQhmD6SblG0ID9oGQmPkGJ22KLs-nvBxTFQ-0hs2TWBVqU3gmBD4Qmw1h4nCme60r3xaYgv27dTjdrd3f4-w/s0/FleurDeLeiTopView.jpg" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7JoyTBpVfxx_J9gLPWzN8L2dGtYCH1sUs3rj1oNzT2WXZ88V5PeNcA4NjUXCFqXQ5EWj7HEjzPFOLVT65CvBy7wiDjg9ZgK2nPQOU5MaYptKOvSNgSJ0J4bPti_qlib_KC_Q3PxlAr081/s450/FleurDeLeiSideView.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="373" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7JoyTBpVfxx_J9gLPWzN8L2dGtYCH1sUs3rj1oNzT2WXZ88V5PeNcA4NjUXCFqXQ5EWj7HEjzPFOLVT65CvBy7wiDjg9ZgK2nPQOU5MaYptKOvSNgSJ0J4bPti_qlib_KC_Q3PxlAr081/s0/FleurDeLeiSideView.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I wrapped the box in Italian paper and added trim around the bottom edge. Around the top to accent the gold in the paper I wrapped a gold border. I used Petaloo Flowers on the top and accented the corners with pearls. In the bottom main corner I used a wood accent to identify the front although any side could be the front.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you so much for stopping by. I truly appreciate all of you and pray you will stay strong as we fight this virus and not allow it to take our joy or interfere to much with us showing our love for friends and family.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Sending Hugs From Texas</div><div style="text-align: center;">~Lesia~</div>Mema's Craftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09447673390276190282noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613697682771842732.post-49802080591661135072020-05-07T16:39:00.002-05:002020-05-07T16:49:26.593-05:00Birthdays Are Forever<span style="font-size: large;">As each day comes and goes there are birthdays being celebrated around the world regardless of the circumstances of the day. There is always someone to wish a Happy Birthday and what better way than with a hand-made one-of-a-kind card. You seem to always look forward to your birthday...its special because it belongs to you.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">As a kid its the thought of a cake and presents or hanging out with friends and having fun together. As we get older we look forward to birthdays because our lives move from one level to the next, leaving childhood to preteen and then into the teens when certain birthdays become more important than others, such as that birthday that allows you to get a drivers license or that birthday when your parents allow you that one beer in front of them. These milestones continue through life all the way to the ones that allows you special discounts, or the one that you thank God for living long enough to see.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">All I am saying is, birthdays are special so for this post I thought I would share a few birthday cards I made. I don't post much anymore but I am trying to get better although life is pulling me in so many different directions. I hope you enjoy these cards and perhaps they will inspire you or bring a smile to your face. So lets get on with the sharing.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5HTXAzqmMviStx12N8cbvqolJVdFEj0010qptBQIqoEr-dhLcoDtjDgtm6aUB6eVEO6k1_mTq3fjgPT4dKEkyqwcztLWUGmFcPsOIMTU7-WujWnKBCPeU3TajrmKwDHH449G3IukyCCNK/s1600/BD+Layered.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="387" data-original-width="475" height="260" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5HTXAzqmMviStx12N8cbvqolJVdFEj0010qptBQIqoEr-dhLcoDtjDgtm6aUB6eVEO6k1_mTq3fjgPT4dKEkyqwcztLWUGmFcPsOIMTU7-WujWnKBCPeU3TajrmKwDHH449G3IukyCCNK/s320/BD+Layered.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">This card uses only paper, twine, a rubber stamp and a simple pearl embellishment. In the back is an envelope with a matching flap. Card size is 5.25 x 5.25. The inside is decorated using the same pattern paper.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The material used on this card is the same as above and the paper is from DCWV Botantical paper collection. I added a few flowers and pearls from Recollections and created a coordinating envelope. This card size is the standard A2.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The last birthday card I'd like to share uses a die to create the front cover and a Hero Arts stamp. A piece of ribbon is running centered and vertically behind the detailed front just to add more to the visual. A corner die was used to coordinate the envelope. This is a standard A2 card size.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:<br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Well fellow crafters that's all I have for this post. I hope everyone is keeping themselves and their families safe during this pandemic. We will get through it...but we must practice common sense and patience. In the meantime spend time with family and when you tire of that then find something to craft.</span><br />

This is the month when you discover that you are loved and there are those whom you love. This is a really special month and love is in the air.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I am excited to share my little cards I created to celebrate Valentine's Day and to remember the unconditional love that my furr-baby gave me each and every day of her 17 years of life. So here are my cards:</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxohVQWlJk8YbDIgTABiVnaV3KBwx7KoImm-GDnBtjc-1eWofBSCjgE0SFlUXOOXgckZRo7-TIEnpugu7bmanK5lwRoLJKOLFtDXB-eQjIBVf8bQTjj8uheSVDS6_ieygeVq0IjGHFGA7b/s1600/IRuffYou.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="399" data-original-width="475" height="335" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxohVQWlJk8YbDIgTABiVnaV3KBwx7KoImm-GDnBtjc-1eWofBSCjgE0SFlUXOOXgckZRo7-TIEnpugu7bmanK5lwRoLJKOLFtDXB-eQjIBVf8bQTjj8uheSVDS6_ieygeVq0IjGHFGA7b/s400/IRuffYou.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">For this card I had to bring out some stamps from my stash that I hadn't used in over a year. The image and greeting is by Tim Holtz "Crazy Dogs" collection. I colored this little cutie using my Copic markers and Spica pens. The paper I found at Joann's and I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the banner, as well as a EK Success punch for the hearts. I just love the look this dog has with the wagging tail. I coordinated an envelope and it is ready for that special someone</span>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Do you remember "Crazy Birds" by Tim Holtz? These birds have come in handy for creating fun and humorous cards and if you purchased the coordinating accessory stamps, you could create a humor card for any event. I have forgotten who made the heart banner die but I used it to add to the SB Circle I used to break up the dots. The birds were colored with copic markers and popped them up over the greeting. I carried the theme to the inside and used scraps to coordinate the envelope</span>.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Hello Everyone. There must be some bad karma around me when buying items online because I am having issue after issue with companies. First of all I do have a bit of good news...I finally received a refund from frugo.com.uk and now that this issue is finally closed I can relax and simply not deal with them again. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Unfortunately as fate would have it, I am having a problem with Divinity Designs. Never had an issue when they were "Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD)" but with their recent change things don't seem to be as organized or customer friendly. Two of my friends are having issues as well with products whereas my issue was more around the system not being consistent from one page to the next. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Case in point, the site says $5 shipping for all USA shipments and it shows in your order summary as such but when you click submit to continue to the payment page the shipping charge changes to $7. Also if you have a code or discount the order summary page calculates the discount and shows it as being deducted. In my case it was a saving discount of $5.50 but once again when I click the submit to continue to the payment page the discount was removed and reapplied. You don't see this until after you get your payment confirmation and there isn't much you can do about it. To reach someone by phone or chat you have to be up at the break of dawn because they are 6 hours ahead of us here in Texas. There is a glitch in their system somewhere so now I am waiting to see if anyone responds to the messages and email I have sent and if they resolve the issue with me.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Nope, I am not done...I'm telling you there is bad karma hanging around. I placed an order back in December with Craft-Stash and so far haven't received my product. I must say however that I did speak with the company and they gave me an update on where my order was and rudely told me I could track it myself. Of course her tone of voice was condescending and I politely informed her that I had tried to track it...this isn't my first rodeo but evidently what she has access to see and what is showing on their website and the USPS is not the same. Furthermore if I could have tracked it I would not be on the phone with her seeking information as to its status. According to Craft-Stash it had left England, traveled to Switzerland and would be in the USA today and I should have it delivered between Wednesday and Friday. </span><span style="font-size: large;">Once again I believe the problem is somehow linked to their system because all it shows is the package is waiting for a label.</span><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><span style="font-size: large;">I am attempting this thing called patience but folks when you have my money I'm just not that patient.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">This whole experience has been with companies located in the UK so I am thinking I won't be doing a lot of international shopping except for Wild Orchid and a couple of other companies that I absolutely love. What an ordeal.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">On a more positive note I have been busy playing with my Cricut to help alleviate the pain of losing my fur-baby a few days ago. I find staying busy keeps me from noticing how quite the house is. I purchased a few clear heavy plastic trays shown below and decided to turn them into serving trays. I had to figure out how to do this and keep the tray usable for food so from the back I worked where the paint and the vinyl will never touch the front of the tray. Below is what I created and gifted to a friend as part of their Christmas gift from me.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-size: large;">It turned out rather nicely so I had to make one for myself and a couple of other friends to have during football season.</span></div>

<span style="color: red; font-size: x-large;">UPDATE!! ALERT!!! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">If you live in the United States </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">please do not order anything from </span></div>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b><span style="color: red;">FRUUGO!!!</span></b></span></div>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">The customer service sucks and once they get your money they are slow to provide you with any assistance or communication.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">
</span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;"></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">I had an order arrive partially damaged and missing items. I filed a complaint and got standard responses and then on their site they simply lied and said the issue had been resolved😮</span></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">I couldn't believe it. I would like to know what the resolution was??? Getting half of what you ordered is resolved???</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">I am in the process of reporting them to the BBS (Better Business Bureau) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). May not make a difference but their name will be on the radar.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;"></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Additionally since I paid through PayPal I am seeking assistance from them. It wasn't a grand amount but the principle and dishonesty of these people is just unacceptable!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">If you live in the U.K. they most likely provide a better service and if you don't have any issues with your order then again you're fine but if you are international and have an issue with an order...well don't expect much help.</span></div>
<span style="font-size: x-large;">
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span><br />
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: red; font-size: x-large;"><span class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; display: inline; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"><u><b>Again beware of FRUUGO!!!</b></u></span></span></div>

The first sign happens just after Thanksgiving when you start to see lights around homes and stores and Christmas trees can be seen in windows. Another sign is the temperature drops and in some places there is snow and of course the commercials change and everything is about Christmas. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">It is a fun time of year although it can be overwhelming and at times stressful. I love the snow but only for a day...just long enough to get a gorgeous photo...you know before it turns to that brown ugly slush (lol)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">This card represents the beauty and inviting look you see with the fresh fallen snow covering the earth like a warm white blanket. </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaUAjChbIKpgjQOQ6Qe1tY6kK8UNipeydKz8_eyPPYAeXgaS3FiDiQXJY19m4N-nYanNMEHc6TU84anEPJayHuTEleZ7sVnfpj2IjNjCajnXsSWuyXwgDFx3s0jAsf7SUQomEwU3dnq1IW/s1600/WinterHome1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="440" data-original-width="450" height="312" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaUAjChbIKpgjQOQ6Qe1tY6kK8UNipeydKz8_eyPPYAeXgaS3FiDiQXJY19m4N-nYanNMEHc6TU84anEPJayHuTEleZ7sVnfpj2IjNjCajnXsSWuyXwgDFx3s0jAsf7SUQomEwU3dnq1IW/s320/WinterHome1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">To create this card I used white as my base and blue card-stock that I embossed to add texture to the card. The detailed die piece is from Amazing Paper Grace collection called Adoria Square Shadowbox frame and then I used Spellbinders Square Nestabilities to create the frame around the photo.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I added Wild Orchid flowers, flat back pearls, a couple of stickpins and metal snowflakes as my embellishments. I then added Star Dust stickles to everything to add a sparkling shimmer especially on the snow and the house. To bad it doesn't show up in the photo.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Lastly I decorated the inside to match the card front and then the greeting from Spellbinders to send holiday wishes to the recipient of this card.</span><br />
<br />
I'd like to enter the following challenges:<br />

I am finally winding down and finding time to just play in the craftroom. I have a little project I'd like to share that I started a while back but couldn't complete it because it was missing a major part...the presentation box.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Here is a little purse that I made using the <a href="https://www.scrapbook.com/store/ton-764e.html?cmp=googleproducts&kw=ton-764e&gclid=Cj0KCQiA_rfvBRCPARIsANlV66PUda4BQ0SQ3FujmQVMVPGZ-LioFPM55gsqnXRox-KC72gWC_tSczgaApswEALw_wcB" target="_blank">Tonic Studio Kensington Purse Die</a> I found on Scrapbook.com. I saw a video on YouTube by <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs79l2P2WjY&t=311s" target="_blank">Carolyn Shellard</a> on how to construct a display box for the Kensington purse and immediately I wanted one. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with centimeters nor the box maker she was using so even after she converted the measurements to inches I couldn't quite get it. Nonetheless she had given me this idea and I was on a mission!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">After multiple attempts and getting really close in creating my version of the box I had to reach out for help. Joyce Owens, of <a href="http://myenchantedpapercreations.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">My Enchanted Paper Creations</a> assisted in determining the base measurements for the box and that was the start I needed to achieve my goal. If you decide to purchase this die and would like the measurements for my display box just check out my tutorial section. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">So to keep things moving along here are photos of my purse and box.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisyYkJI_kn-8enPBHj_nFP3QIWno6FNhpgb5gwMIjcst_NHEASL1HLp66mI-K5od6rtOs9VDvuOP0rYL4SdU5YeuAD3tuku1jcNyKk6ft77swwZ8cA0mxEpGkmaKs58-LK1ZpMCHstrEIV/s1600/KensingtonPurse+N+Presentation1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="475" data-original-width="402" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisyYkJI_kn-8enPBHj_nFP3QIWno6FNhpgb5gwMIjcst_NHEASL1HLp66mI-K5od6rtOs9VDvuOP0rYL4SdU5YeuAD3tuku1jcNyKk6ft77swwZ8cA0mxEpGkmaKs58-LK1ZpMCHstrEIV/s320/KensingtonPurse+N+Presentation1.jpg" width="270" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Above the purse is shown outside the box and below shows how nicely the purse fits inside for a professional display. Carolyn also has dimensions to create a foundation for the purse to sit on but I haven't gotten to that just yet.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>DISCLAIMER</b>: These images are represent a project demonstration/template and is not images of the completed project.</span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"></span>(hoping the completed project will be much better)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy3hPd-GH2jDdM5gZxqc_UTJY750psEq-ZPe8l-0DzaCC2VCqpuKvXcyWufHTUW0OAHgaeN7WSpI5dq4xlB3RhJIFwLpDol6g5J-w_5SQp-ktodLybnvrkKdJryQoP5L5-9BsDrr5Pj0sJ/s1600/KensingtonPurse+W+Presentation.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="475" data-original-width="439" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy3hPd-GH2jDdM5gZxqc_UTJY750psEq-ZPe8l-0DzaCC2VCqpuKvXcyWufHTUW0OAHgaeN7WSpI5dq4xlB3RhJIFwLpDol6g5J-w_5SQp-ktodLybnvrkKdJryQoP5L5-9BsDrr5Pj0sJ/s320/KensingtonPurse+W+Presentation.jpg" width="295" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">The purse although petite can hold a host of small items...such as lipstick, eyeliner and lashes or small bottles of nail polish, nail filer or clippers. And of course you can place sweet treats inside, cash, or a gift card. What goes inside is all up to you to decide. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I thought this was just to cute to keep to myself so I thought I would share.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>

Sometimes when we are busy making plans life just gets in the way and you have to stop and re-plan. But at the moment I think life is on hold and I can hopefully get back in the groove of things. I thought the best way to start was to enter a challenge or two and see what happens. So here is my entry.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtGyKwzOWQOy9o1w2SU8c0yiY14Qu2GeqWi0sNSuavgwZPi9ayL-u13HypOLNTxOwNSEsJBN_ulWKYIzJan3KNEHzFXwWNNzQbMUOuTzvkyJGCHwZGZqvZRgCCx9nrI8hrPQIradx_19on/s1600/VintageChristmas.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="425" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtGyKwzOWQOy9o1w2SU8c0yiY14Qu2GeqWi0sNSuavgwZPi9ayL-u13HypOLNTxOwNSEsJBN_ulWKYIzJan3KNEHzFXwWNNzQbMUOuTzvkyJGCHwZGZqvZRgCCx9nrI8hrPQIradx_19on/s320/VintageChristmas.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I wanted to create a card with a vintage feel so I started out using Kraft card-stock and paired it with shades of brown and blue. I used Spellbinders and Cheery Lynn Designs dies to create my focal point and the doily and added a few Wild Orchid flowers to accent my circles.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">The designer paper is a few sheets of paper from Maja Designs that I had stored away in my stash (finally got to use it). Everything was inked with Tim Holtz distress inks and then a light spritz to add a bit of age. I stamped and heat embossed the greeting and added a few snowflakes to complete the card.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

Actually I've just been caught up in all the craft shows and trying to keep my inventory up to date.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">With Christmas only 10 weeks away I thought I would spend a few days creating little items that can be used as small gifts for co-workers, teachers, groups and so forth. And of course the focus is on how to present and package up chocolate.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Everyone likes chocolate right, but what if it came packaged like this. They were a hit at my craft fairs so I am hoping folks will want them as part of their Christmas shopping.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJOq5gLgOQqBXX-A70USzKoZJXw7A5DnUEIVxWEBguiZxbvTrlq55mONXg5LH0QvoPdSwfE0kH4wM5Fr_Yim5PotzG5w04WxFoOxKV0tO-JU9dWtncTxQQ_nVTxKM4Pir0WPAIR047BPCM/s1600/Hershey+4pk+Nuggets.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1305" data-original-width="1600" height="261" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJOq5gLgOQqBXX-A70USzKoZJXw7A5DnUEIVxWEBguiZxbvTrlq55mONXg5LH0QvoPdSwfE0kH4wM5Fr_Yim5PotzG5w04WxFoOxKV0tO-JU9dWtncTxQQ_nVTxKM4Pir0WPAIR047BPCM/s320/Hershey+4pk+Nuggets.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">These two little packets were created to hold 4 Hershey Nuggets with almonds. I used Christmas paper from Paper Studio and another collection from My Mind's Eye. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Very easy to make. The only change is I decided to add a ribbon and bow at the top after I took the photo.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>

In recent months I have been extremely busy especially being the hands-on grandma but now with school starting I can relax with that part of my life. My second time consumer is attending craft shows that are not so local. The driving and the overnights have really been hectic but they too are coming to a close. The shows all end in October, but I think it will end in September for me. Thirdly and not at all the least time consuming is my new online store where friends that don't craft and a few that are crafters can order or make personalize request. Did I mention that I am also a DT member for 3 different companies. I am not sure at what point I thought I was superwoman and could handle all of this....I've truly learned my lesson.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Now for a change of pace I thought I would visit some challenges and then create something so that I could play along. This is so much more relaxing and less time consuming, however this doesn't generate any revenue unless fun becomes a monetary item :)</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Well here is the card I'd like to share.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7Vlskpy7t-kHn4ML6lboA66AIj83tZf8dGFVcqf9kTycp9CHwWJ0Di6UVAxTqu1OcCllKHDRcGAtdpoqm7Iy_Is0UPNk6jWU-0WtFC2z0ZY6CLRdlkvmWuOCdJaPpa7n3rV8sGkmm7nuN/s1600/SimpleHello.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="426" data-original-width="400" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7Vlskpy7t-kHn4ML6lboA66AIj83tZf8dGFVcqf9kTycp9CHwWJ0Di6UVAxTqu1OcCllKHDRcGAtdpoqm7Iy_Is0UPNk6jWU-0WtFC2z0ZY6CLRdlkvmWuOCdJaPpa7n3rV8sGkmm7nuN/s320/SimpleHello.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">As you can see this is a simple card (almost a CAS). Returning to a inking technique I learned years ago pulled this scene together rather quickly. Using distress inks, an acrylic block and a water spritzer I was able to create the background for this card. After allowing the ink to dry I stamped my images using archival ink. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Once everything was dry I cut my image and adhered it to a blue mat before adding it to my card base. I like the way it turned out and it took just a little over an hour to complete. Perfect to send to someone you haven't seen in a while or you just want to surprise someone with a simple hello.</span><br />
<br />
I'd like to enter the following challenges:<br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Another simple inking basic card I'd like to share is one to get the holiday season started.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj66tj2q2I7mgJuewekA0lKYudoqkkmSbRiFC_saamJQ_wnBHRCtyAeuHCN5i-CwpToZfizMLJEftdUqbEyNNfV9yGgn9XJ8aHnS_ZvIRAenW98L3nrByOld07RhOli0dfHIqul8kSBxHD/s1600/HappyHolidays.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="396" data-original-width="385" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj66tj2q2I7mgJuewekA0lKYudoqkkmSbRiFC_saamJQ_wnBHRCtyAeuHCN5i-CwpToZfizMLJEftdUqbEyNNfV9yGgn9XJ8aHnS_ZvIRAenW98L3nrByOld07RhOli0dfHIqul8kSBxHD/s320/HappyHolidays.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">To create this card I used the ink resist technique. This is where you first heat emboss what you want to pop after you add the ink. Once I heat embossed my image with white embossing powder I started to add distress ink all over the card. The embossed portions resisted the ink and after wiping the card with a paper towel the white really popped. Creating these types of cards are fun and real quick and easy to make. I used vellum to heat emboss the greeting and adhere to the base to complete the card.</span><br />

Hope you all celebrated Independence Day with a big bang and had fun with it. Whew, where have I been, well let me think for a minute. First of all I did a 19 hour road trip with my son and his family that included 3 of my grand babies under the age of 10 (yep I was brave) and discovered that Alleve and Tyenol were my best friend. It was fun and we faced this adventure because another grandson needed our expertise setting up his dorm room at the University of California Riverside where he will be attending on a full scholarship. Yeah Q (short for Quinton)!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">After only two days we started the 19 hour return. I was extremely tired at the end of the day but had a craft fair scheduled so no time to take a break. In the last three months I have attended 6 craft shows and they all required driving at least 2.5 hours to reach the site, and then setup, sell and tear down. I repeated this so many times that I finally took a 4th of July break and had time to play in my craft-room.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Before I share my creation I want to announce just in case you aren't aware I recently opened an online store so drop in for a visit. It isn't fully stocked but there is enough inventory to get me started on my journey. Here is the URL <a href="http://www.memascrafts.com/">http://www.memascrafts.com</a> or just click the tab at the top of this page.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Now on to my creations. I've been doing well at the craft shows and still discovering what people are looking for and one thing is boxed card sets. With this in mind I began my creations.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgCEBCD5KzaHhyphenhyphenJus6ubcz7xbqfPwbV5gk6_YewKmSgi30FwO94LkCiq8Baiyrdb1CtWozrq5GO2AWQSSqtwvL_390XMYy-ri8J0lq273L9XRXvYxuyWwSCli9JuYOaFmJmuyDLIJAHDh8/s1600/AssortedBoxSet1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="476" data-original-width="450" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgCEBCD5KzaHhyphenhyphenJus6ubcz7xbqfPwbV5gk6_YewKmSgi30FwO94LkCiq8Baiyrdb1CtWozrq5GO2AWQSSqtwvL_390XMYy-ri8J0lq273L9XRXvYxuyWwSCli9JuYOaFmJmuyDLIJAHDh8/s320/AssortedBoxSet1.jpg" width="302" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2dsk0pKhxDy-GhtnzOBF7y-X1ZNdANlnvO7A96xuYQ5I-mZGIsCbhkDqlhZxu1sCM76yD9IVFG66bmRfQgXd4sssR0yefI24pzr-7o6dP_W35wD7NOJ8xM59svfiYrLh4InG1XM-EJlDV/s1600/AssortedBoxSet2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="508" data-original-width="450" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2dsk0pKhxDy-GhtnzOBF7y-X1ZNdANlnvO7A96xuYQ5I-mZGIsCbhkDqlhZxu1sCM76yD9IVFG66bmRfQgXd4sssR0yefI24pzr-7o6dP_W35wD7NOJ8xM59svfiYrLh4InG1XM-EJlDV/s320/AssortedBoxSet2.jpg" width="283" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">My first boxed set consist of 6 cards with three different greetings and various colors. The cards are slightly larger than the standard A2 size card so I had to make my own chipboard box which isn't shown here.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">My next set will be the most popular "Thank You" card, and then perhaps something for baby. Once I get it all figured out and snatch another week away from craft shows I will share with everyone.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Thanks for stopping by.</span><br />

I realize I haven't been around posting for a bit but it is because I have been working on trying to start an online store. A place where I can sale the things that I create. I am hoping that there are people that don't craft that will enjoy having these unique treasures in their homes.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I will be selling my handcrafted cards, custom designed T-shirts, designer coasters (all handmade), my decorative message socks and coffee mugs that can be personalized just for you.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Anyway to celebrate my grand opening (not sure when) I will be giving away a box of my goodies along with a couple of gift cards just to celebrate this new adventure I am about to take. It may only last a week or two weeks and that is sad to think about but I guess I will be okay with it. I hope you guys will stop by when it does open.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I will continue to participate in challenges and I will always end my days with creating something to share. Another reason/excuse for not blogging is I have been preparing for an upcoming craft show/farmers market and haven't had time to do much else.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Well that is finally over and here a couple of photos from the event. The weather wasn't very conducive to an outside show...it drizzled and rained most of the time and the wind made it impossible to keep things properly displayed. But being the soldier that I am I stayed until enough was enough. Perhaps the weather will be friendly for the next show (I sure hope so).</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Just to say how strong the wind was, my blue tablecloth would cover the entire front of my table and actually touch the ground, but on these photos the tablecloths appear to be wrapped around the table and they were by the wind.</span><br />

Mema's Craftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09447673390276190282noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613697682771842732.post-5114971052281893692019-04-01T11:46:00.000-05:002019-04-01T11:46:12.009-05:00Pretty in Pink<span style="font-size: large;">Spring is such a beautiful time of year, especially when it is right after the cold, dreary winter storms and such. April brings forth all the soft wonderful colors Mother Nature has to offer just in time for Easter and Mother's Day. When I think of Easter or Mother's Day, I imagine the soft pastel colors such as pinks, blues, greens and yellow. Today I'd like to share a card that represents these colors for Mother's Day.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbVn-0Zut7AWcoYtxLjuJiQEXVlaoPyCDwbIL5hzNDhNkQ8nR9T31S2tgl-BMK1f3YGv4CwW6IjCpM0nXNLw_k6hiU9EGvm51H5ByHeYhaqXo6fnVOFzxXi9IgD7PdaqR8b__wuBKG1X76/s1600/MomPink.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="517" data-original-width="400" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbVn-0Zut7AWcoYtxLjuJiQEXVlaoPyCDwbIL5hzNDhNkQ8nR9T31S2tgl-BMK1f3YGv4CwW6IjCpM0nXNLw_k6hiU9EGvm51H5ByHeYhaqXo6fnVOFzxXi9IgD7PdaqR8b__wuBKG1X76/s320/MomPink.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">To create the card and box I used paper from Prima's Rose Quartz collection and flowers from both Wild Orchid and Recollections. I created the focal point by adding patterned paper adhered to a white matte that I embossed using a Dove Craft folder, and then cut a central piece with a Spellbinders die. I used words generated from my computer as the greeting and lots of pop dots to add a bit of depth. The final card size is 5x7.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">On the inside I followed the theme of the front of the card and left the oval blank for a personal message. The hardest part of this card was trying to figure out how to arrange the flowers without interfering with the greeting or the intricate details of the die.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I find with flowers it is much easier to use a box especially for mailing to ensure everything remains in tact. The box is decorated using the remaining paper and a bit of lace and stickers.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">That's all I have for you today. I hope this has inspired you to get started on your Mother's Day cards so when it arrives you can sit back and relax.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">As always thanks for stopping by.</span><br />

I spent most of last year doing just that, working under pressure. I seem to produce more when there is some stress. Perhaps its because when you're under pressure you tend to stay more focused at the task at hand. This year I've decided to work smarter and keep stress at an all time low. This is the plan but of course some of your "best laid plans" can fall short.<br /><br />For Mother's Day this year, I am officially giving myself a head start with my greeting cards. I haven't made a card for a couple of months, because I was busy learning new things and moving in a total different direction. Just hoping my mojo and creativity will kick in and make this effort worthwhile.</span><br />
<div>
<br />
<div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Because it's for Mother's Day, I can add all the frills and flowers that will fit...so some of what I share may be a bit over the top for me. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: large;">So here is the first of many that I would like to share.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEHstNSROBbXnsobGbfIxK8aP5meO7Feb75GooNFdoqE5s_411Tou1kuVPXccQSaLINJJUEMgJxVnl4nl4MgTO3T2OxmYhUomv_NFDra7Y4e2oecY-lmNGbxoVLEL8XskZWtbellT-7q4w/s1600/Mother%2527s+Day+Purple2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="437" data-original-width="450" height="310" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEHstNSROBbXnsobGbfIxK8aP5meO7Feb75GooNFdoqE5s_411Tou1kuVPXccQSaLINJJUEMgJxVnl4nl4MgTO3T2OxmYhUomv_NFDra7Y4e2oecY-lmNGbxoVLEL8XskZWtbellT-7q4w/s320/Mother%2527s+Day+Purple2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The card is 5x7 and uses Graphic45 Time to Flourish collection. I used a Spellbinders die to create my focal point adding a few Recollections flowers and pearls.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The box was altered to match the card using the same paper collection. I added a space for the recipients name and adorned it with green pearls.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">That's all I have for this post and now its back to the work table to complete a few more cards one at a time.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: medium;">Entering this card in the following challenges:</span><br />

Sometimes I lose my mojo because my thoughts get focused on my medical problems and its hard to be creative when you can barely breathe or you tire so quickly all you want to do is sleep. My saving grace is knowing that this too will pass if I just keep fighting and believing. Lately though I've been trying my hand at anything related to crafting to include sewing. Anyway I am rambling so moving on with the purpose of this post.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">During a purge in my garage while looking for a pot I knew I had, I found this photo frame along with a few others and I decided that I would keep at least two or three because they were in pretty good shape and had a bit of character. So today I spent time in my craft room dusting off these frames, adding glaze, and even a bit of painting. I managed to finish one of them and decided to share with you.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UQiuTnwObLJ0ZKaK72FOdjIFMB5agw8-H5QSwxlcM4G5uxdm3IEvZnLH9H6q6wjx5roSrTOoG3QP2wmdDvHtNmsGyAzZ1CtE3OBRvHmeugfsawiFosUPSw6p_aChg1qxNnHN90tP4cms/s1600/LoveIsFrame.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1338" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UQiuTnwObLJ0ZKaK72FOdjIFMB5agw8-H5QSwxlcM4G5uxdm3IEvZnLH9H6q6wjx5roSrTOoG3QP2wmdDvHtNmsGyAzZ1CtE3OBRvHmeugfsawiFosUPSw6p_aChg1qxNnHN90tP4cms/s320/LoveIsFrame.jpg" width="267" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">And I decided that there would be no photo in this frame...nope...this frame would hold a message. I used my Cricut Maker to cut out the words in vinyl and then add them to a backdrop to fit the frame.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I added a bouquet of flowers in the corner to represent the blooming of new life that comes in the Spring. The hearts while symbolizing the words also came in handy to cover a few spots that I couldn't get rid of :). I love how this one turned out and am excited to start on the other two.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I know this post was rather short (bet you're glad) but I hope I have inspired you or made you smile. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><i>As always thanks for stopping by.</i></span></div>

Mema's Craftshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09447673390276190282noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2613697682771842732.post-47604596765671442362019-01-26T18:08:00.000-06:002019-02-26T16:42:31.705-06:00World of T-shirts<span style="font-size: large;">I recently posted that I had ventured outside card-making and found myself in whole new world of fun and creativity. I now find that I spend more time in my garage then in my craft-room these days. I keep my heat press in the garage because it does heat up quite quickly.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I am so excited and can hardly contain myself so I figured I would share and ask if there were any others out there are into creating things that require some type of vinyl. I'd like to chat and get some ideas.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">For now I am going to share what I've been into.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRepF-sUMCQ09wxOQuc4-QZxntr9icYHTsnIkoRANtBBXjJk4ZlbQE__3raynmcg3GcHShBGsBOlBCu3RcOi_51gqmygLFJKgH_btGPQeE-fWKmemDWXseVg8yLvffnGa3J8CM0zM4t1wK/s1600/ClassyHoodFB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="300" data-original-width="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRepF-sUMCQ09wxOQuc4-QZxntr9icYHTsnIkoRANtBBXjJk4ZlbQE__3raynmcg3GcHShBGsBOlBCu3RcOi_51gqmygLFJKgH_btGPQeE-fWKmemDWXseVg8yLvffnGa3J8CM0zM4t1wK/s1600/ClassyHoodFB.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Item TS-0012 $15<br />
<br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-size: large; text-align: center;">This little T-shirt is purple with clear rhinestones that says it all. I love the words and adding the rhinestones turns this T-shirt into an eye catcher.</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhObc-MyhoPLmoAUxwXXPC_GAxhGAZT3fh2GNXk3fNpLKaNl06fklKzijLXUxWsEvo7N8VdyDe_SixXASx3Y5wJ0_tBlW9xv7fKZsLpMkrxWTO5sGBAUho0Y7cOCw3djqKWpO1RXeN6lQbq/s1600/RetiredFB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="327" data-original-width="300" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhObc-MyhoPLmoAUxwXXPC_GAxhGAZT3fh2GNXk3fNpLKaNl06fklKzijLXUxWsEvo7N8VdyDe_SixXASx3Y5wJ0_tBlW9xv7fKZsLpMkrxWTO5sGBAUho0Y7cOCw3djqKWpO1RXeN6lQbq/s320/RetiredFB.jpg" width="293" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">For every person out there that has retired and is glad to be retired, this particular t-shirt is definitely for you. I smile every time I read it.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD3ipCwwDW-FRx543DAPQWIqTrBQq2PfZdcoPu4ZQdjdm7bvjuX6aF05-8AAebktNUhNWD5biU8P45WuPrAaUUaYcs6Wh6Z5AA275BHXu1O4KUT7GDQSZR09W7V7EmFwH8XLDmyDBXpm0Z/s1600/BeautifullyMadeFB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="369" data-original-width="350" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD3ipCwwDW-FRx543DAPQWIqTrBQq2PfZdcoPu4ZQdjdm7bvjuX6aF05-8AAebktNUhNWD5biU8P45WuPrAaUUaYcs6Wh6Z5AA275BHXu1O4KUT7GDQSZR09W7V7EmFwH8XLDmyDBXpm0Z/s320/BeautifullyMadeFB.jpg" width="303" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">Lastly is the t-shirt for the woman that is proud of herself and what she has accomplished. This one has different colored rhinestones making this t-shirt pop a little more than an ordinary t-shirt.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Trying to come with images and words (funny or not) isn't always easy but think with a Cricut Maker and some vinyl you can take any thing you see, do a little redesign and turn it into a t-shirt that can be worn.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Well, my friends I just wanted to share with you all but I don't want to bore you any longer, but beware I will post again in the near future.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Thanks for stopping by and chatting with me.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />

POST IS LONGER THAN NORMAL.</i></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">OMGoodness! It has been forever since my last blog post and I am surprised that I found time to even post today. So what has been going on with me...well first of all life has consistently interfered with things I wanted to do and forced me to deal with it. But some good has happened over the holidays.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I started a low-carb diet and lost almost 20 lbs in 8 weeks (yeah) but gained 6 over the holidays and just recently started to lose it again. I joined the YMCA and am part of their Silver Sneakers program which has led to meeting new folks that are closer to my age.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Most exciting is my new Cricut Maker!!! This machine has expanded my horizons and the possibilities are endless. Not only can I create cards of all types, I can do home decor, apparel and it will even cut wood. This machine is the best thing and I am so addicted to vinyl and iron-on these days that I sleep, eat, and dream of vinyl.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I've also been introduced to etching and doing photo transfers to wood, ceramic and canvas. When it comes to crafting and DIY I am all over the place and loving every minute, although it has taken control of my life and time. There have been days where I forget to do simple things like check the mail and sometimes even remember to eat.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Let me share a few things I have created with you. Mind you this is only a sample of what I have designed.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeU72TXVRD1LC-nNlJO2uQVmi81NZdmXNEdwbdVgG8g3a3rcZs-wyuzBXGl0105Wlk_toLEKncQp-dAKWOFl3Wjv_maNjrmnDuOcn9egMC4XkVKZT_z9Zq808qujwV2zQN_wGcGMLu49yZ/s1600/GlassVinyl2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="342" data-original-width="300" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeU72TXVRD1LC-nNlJO2uQVmi81NZdmXNEdwbdVgG8g3a3rcZs-wyuzBXGl0105Wlk_toLEKncQp-dAKWOFl3Wjv_maNjrmnDuOcn9egMC4XkVKZT_z9Zq808qujwV2zQN_wGcGMLu49yZ/s320/GlassVinyl2.jpg" width="280" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Hopefully you can see the word "Gratitude" that I have decorated this little jar with. Those are Q-tips inside and for some reason I thought they would make it easier to see the design.</span></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioD7VfgakCu5YavkC4X9kZh0vdNcmLE0PHoMFM5OVf8YNYuPS7XKAJFmW4ngZ0nfhtPbjybLozFaLhmhokemV0ZDbRVLs728vd43WgnV3HpWw-cFzYqmtF7KTHFn7HctrXPK8c-89EAzxQ/s1600/Decorative+Pillow2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="316" data-original-width="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioD7VfgakCu5YavkC4X9kZh0vdNcmLE0PHoMFM5OVf8YNYuPS7XKAJFmW4ngZ0nfhtPbjybLozFaLhmhokemV0ZDbRVLs728vd43WgnV3HpWw-cFzYqmtF7KTHFn7HctrXPK8c-89EAzxQ/s1600/Decorative+Pillow2.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Next we have my customized pillow. A neat idea was to purchase some Christmas pillows once they went on sale at 80% off and then simply cover them with one that I designed myself. This way I have a beautiful pillow throughout the year and at the end of the year I remove the cover to display my safely protected Christmas pillows around my home.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsucEtlFWMoFWxfGCkCm8zOwlwfPMSSsIS6dB9mxP_ar19_WJklZMDDUKKj4PIWEmisrXOCnT3jGtE-XktsQpvJ7xQdqod0JKNfjbIQykYqBt0AsezUHJMC3Wky_j7gUw-5jcy0gvZWP1h/s1600/Hornets+Tshirt+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="253" data-original-width="200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsucEtlFWMoFWxfGCkCm8zOwlwfPMSSsIS6dB9mxP_ar19_WJklZMDDUKKj4PIWEmisrXOCnT3jGtE-XktsQpvJ7xQdqod0JKNfjbIQykYqBt0AsezUHJMC3Wky_j7gUw-5jcy0gvZWP1h/s320/Hornets+Tshirt+2.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Lastly, I want to share a black T-shirt I picked up at Joann's and designed it for my grandson's basketball team. Wasn't sure how to do this but I got it right and had such fun figuring it all out. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Creating, cutting and adding your designs to all types of substrates just creates a world of imagination and possibility. There is that sense of pride as well when you get it right and you know it (smile).</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">To build on my newly found talent I decided that a "Heat Press" was necessary if I planned to continue to grow and expand my creativity. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Just another machine to learn but I look forward to it and I'll post more as I go along but if I forget please check out my Facebook page to see more of my creations.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Thank you for stopping by. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">When you hear the words "Trick or Treat" remember to have the candies ready to give and don't be afraid of these creatures. They are adorable and just having fun being kids.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I have two cards to share with everyone and I hope you like them. They are part of my Little Witches series and I think the images are adorable.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">On this card I created a hidden message using the bat shown on the front right. The hidden message can also hold a gift card behind the fence (can't see slots) and then slid back in place hidden from site.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">The image is a really old Magnolia stamp and I have no clue the name of the stamp. The paper is an old DCWV paper pack that it was in my stash. Other items used include dies from Tim Holtz, Frantic Stamper, and Cherry Lynn Designs. Embellishments are Recollections flowers and Offray ribbon. I used Copic Markers to color my image.</span><br />
<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">For this card I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil titled "Little Witch" and colored her using Copic markers. The cardstock and paper is from Paper Studio and the flowers are by Prima.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I used a Die-namics die to cut out the cats, and the Tim Holtz Bat Fence die. This was a super easy card to create using only paper and a bit of coloring. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Congratulations to Joyce!</b> </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Has anyone noticed that the leaves on the trees are slowly changing into an array of vibrant earth tones, swaying on the trees as if to sing a song. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I do love this time of the year although my allergies do rise. Living in Texas I don't get to see much of the beauty of Autumn, but a trip to North Carolina (home) erases all the pollution and noise of the city and rewards me with clean crisp air, tree-lined roads that curve in and out. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Autumn announces its arrival with cleaner air or at least it seems to be cleaner. I love the cool mornings without the humidity and the evenings are perfect for a cup of tea. This is the time of year when you let the outside air inside and if I were home (in N.C.) I would wash my linen and hang it out to dry rather than use a dryer. Nothing better than falling asleep on fresh cool sheets. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Yep this is the time of year when I really start to miss home, but fortunately I can visit for a week or two. here and there.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">To celebrate this season I do have a simple card to share and I promise this post will be a short one.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE0S31bEMX4mCCYlM83ye8bBnNpktspIx1t7nJKvGmOo9kdw3KL5ach-FcAKNIigLpSlQphOdk_IkP5kSeJ-FQvSzTnywVuXvA-aDfy0k89wlHkSR-pd4ag-BXR_j0LgFRd1kLSb5oK_BG/s1600/Fall+Autumn+Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1259" data-original-width="1330" height="377" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE0S31bEMX4mCCYlM83ye8bBnNpktspIx1t7nJKvGmOo9kdw3KL5ach-FcAKNIigLpSlQphOdk_IkP5kSeJ-FQvSzTnywVuXvA-aDfy0k89wlHkSR-pd4ag-BXR_j0LgFRd1kLSb5oK_BG/s400/Fall+Autumn+Card.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I used My Mind's Eye designer paper and Bazzil card-stock to create this card. The image is a really old digital image I purchased a long time ago so I am not sure where I got it.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I used Copic markers to color the image, and Recollections/Prima floral embellishments. I used Spellbinder dies and Martha Stewart punches to create the waved edge, the stitched oval and the scalloped oval. Lastly, I added ribbon, eyelets and a sentiment to finish this card at 5.5 x 5.5.</span><br />
<br />
